BBCC did not just host a championship — they hosted a fleet. The volunteer hospitality was outstanding, on the water and ashore, and the race management was first class. Ten races, light air that asked for patience, then a Sunday that finally built. That only
happens when a club cares as much about the sailors as about the scores. Thank you to every volunteer and to the race committee. We will be back.

Burlington beach catamaran club - what a “Diamond in the Rough “ Although it doesn’t have the fancy facilities of an elite yacht club it makes up for it by its large fresh water venue with a long sandy beach. The location can give a variety of large swells from the east or flat shifty offshore wind challenges from the west. In addition The race committee has been top notch. All of this less than 5 minutes away from downtown Burlington which has the vibe similar to Kingston, with numerous restaurants, pubs, outdoor eateries and lake shore parks. Of course the Canadian friendliness and local effort in putting the regatta together round at the club experience. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again.

Congratulations Burlington Catamaran Club for hosting an exceptional Hobie 14 North Americans in Sept 2025. Fabulous expansive sandy beach venue, competitor after sailing food and refreshments along with coffee, donuts, fruit and drinks all week is always over the top. You consistently give back to the sailors to ensure we are treated like family on your beach. Your events are world class as seen at the 2022 A Class NA’s, 2023 F18 Americas and now the 2025 H14 NA’s. I look forward to returning in 2026 for the CDN F18 Championships.

I am so pleased that we were able to hold the F18 North American Championships in Burlington. It is a great town with a lot of dining options, ideally located close to your great beach club. The Burlington Beach Catamaran Club provided one of the best social scenes at a regatta that I have attended with food immediately after every race, a great assortment of beverages all the time in a relaxing tented lounge area, a great gala dinner and wonderful hospitality. The sandy beach was spacious with boats parked next to their trailers and everyone was able to launch at the same time. Burlington will remain on our list of venues to return to in the future.

So many thank you messages, but clearly well deserve! Thank you to all that made this event possible. It was great to see a fleet with many new faces from the US, Canada, and Chile as well as lots of familiar faces we only get to see once a year. Those sailing conditions were perfect, thank you Irene for getting in 15 races! BBCC really nailed this event, on the water and off was really top notch. The city of Burlington was a great regatta host town, quaint enough we could stay close and have a great bike ride to the venue yet big enough to have plenty of restaurant options.  Also I want to say congrats to Maya (Sandra’s parents were happy to hear of another successful woman’s skipper) and to Jill who even though I love to give a hard time, absolutely deserves recognition for everything her and the whole Red Gear team have done.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Todd Riccardi 2023 F18 NA

Hey Burlington Beach OA! What friggen sick event. Venue was tip top. Conditions delish! Food and drink were right there everyday, really made mornings and post racing fun, social, and energizing. Loved the port house dinner! Thank you homies! 10/10 would recommend and return again!

The city of Burlington is phenomenal with countless restaurants, cafes, and shops. Spouses of the sailors drove to a wine tasting just outside of the city while some sailors visited nearby Niagara Falls on the lay day. The beach catamaran club is in the lee of the prevailing westerly winds. Launching is simple with almost no wind. The water is a half-foot deep crystal-clear fresh water. Push off and put boards in as the wind slowly builds to 15. Hop out on the trap and foil down to the course while soaking up the view of the city in the background and Toronto is visible on a clear day in the distance. Very wide, perfectly manicured beach with panoramic views of the city that could easily fit 100+ boats.

What a great event at my new favorite sailing venue. I really would move to Burlington in a heartbeat if it didn't snow! I had so much fun spending time with my A Cat family, and it was great to see so much hard work pay off on the water. Huge thank you to all of the Burlington Beach Catamaran Club - BBCC volunteers for working so hard to put together my favorite event of the summer! Seriously had the best time.
